Avian Influenza Update:
A week ago, South Korea officials reported an outbreak of bird flu which had killed approximately 6,000 chickens at a farm. They ordered the killing of more than two hundred thousand birds and banned the shipment of nearly 5 million birds. While this news incited headlines, it should not incite fear…beyond motivating common-sense precautions.
