Are you taking your chances with the flu? |
 |
Other diseases garner the headlines, but every year in the U.S. approximately 36,000 people die from seasonal influenza and 200,000 become sick enough to require hospitalization.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) say nearly 50% of those who should get a flu shot, decide to skip it and take their chances. What are you doing to combat this preventable health threat?

Avian Influenza Update: |
A week ago, South Korea officials reported an
outbreak of bird flu which had killed
approximately 6,000 chickens at a farm. They
ordered the killing of more than two hundred
thousand birds and banned the shipment of
nearly 5 million birds. While this news
incited headlines, it should not incite
fear…beyond motivating common-sense
precautions.
